Alfred Tennant, DDS

Alfred Tennant, DDS has been treating craniofacial pain for over 25 years.  He is Fellowship Certified from the University of Florida, where he completed his 2-year program at the Parker Mahan Craniofacial Pain Center.

Prior to this, he received his undergraduate training at Loyola University in New Orleans then his doctorate from LSU School of Dentistry, also in New Orleans.

His areas of expertise include diagnosis and management of complex craniofacial pain conditions and co-managing sleep related breathing disorders (Sleep Apnea) with oral appliances. These two areas often overlap and co-exist.

Some common pain conditions he treats are the “TMJ” disorders, the many forms and types of headache, bite problems, nerve pain, burning mouth, dystonias, and after effects of head neck or face trauma.

Dr. Tennant has a broad professional background. He served in the US Navy Dental Corps, had his own private general practice, was assistant clinical professor at LSU School of Medicine Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is currently faculty at University of Florida School of Dentistry Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
